Since March 2020, it has been possible to organise your events at AREA 42 in collaboration with Design Brussels, a non-profit Brussels-based platform dedicated to contemporary Belgian and international design.
AREA 42 is the only venue in Brussels where you can choose your own caterer and pay no corkage fees.
You have the flexibility of bringing your usual caterer. Or, if you’d like to discover new up-and-coming caterers, we’d be happy to share our favourite ones!
Caterers have access to a semi-equipped kitchen with 8 m3 cold room, water supply, cooker hood, three-phase sockets and work tops.

The AREA 1 conference room and AREA 2 dance floor have been equipped by us in partnership with BSC Group.
For workshops and small parallel session conferences in AREA 3, our own equipment is available to hire at very competitive rates.
It is possible to supplement the on-site equipment by hiring it from our provider, or you can of course use your usual technical provider.

AREA 42 is ideally located in the north of Brussels (towards Zaventem airport), close to the city’s historic centre and European Quarter.
There are several hotels nearby.
The venue has 20 parking spaces on weekdays before 5:30 p.m.
and 120 spaces after 5:30 p.m. and on weekends.
Additional parking is available at Passage 44 or Q Parq, with a shuttle service on request.
The venue is easily accessible by public transport: Tram 92’s Sainte-Marie stop is 50 m from the venue, while the Gare du Nord or Botanique metro stops are a 5-minute walk.
We offer hire prices of between €3,500 and €5,850 (excl. VAT) per day, and sliding scale discounts are applied from day two onwards.
We are a popular venue for large NGOs and non-profits, for whom staying within a strict budget is essential.
Our venue is also used by public services and regularly respond to their invitations to tender.
We don’t collect any commission on caterers, because we believe it makes no sense to put pressure on our customers’ budgets for services provided by an external supplier.
This makes it possible for all our customers to organise a major conference or a hybrid conference, by freeing up budget for optimal technical set-up.
